I had a premonition, the world was coming to an end and religious extremism was to blame! I then saw truth, sense and reason and I became a Non-believer.

I am a student of all that teaches us to live a good life side by side with our fellow man and to look after our planet as best we can.

I am happy to respect your views as long as your views do not incite violence, prejudice, hatred, or impede human or civil rights. I do not exempt any religious view from what I will respect, if the way you practice your religion is used as a negative force in this world, then I do not respect your religious views. I make no apology for not accepting the word of a holy book, especially when it is used as a force of oppression. I have seen religion used as a force for good in this world, so I know it is possible and I will respect you if that is how you apply your religious knowledge.

I firmly believe in the separation of church and state. In fact I believe in it now more than ever! Our founding fathers got it right way back then and now I can really see just how right they were!

A note to all Right Wing Christian Nutters.

No I am not the Anti-Christ or the devil.

No I am not a communist.

No I do not intend killing any Christians. But I have noted that some of you would love to kill me. Yes I do read your profiles and NO I do not think you are joking, your humor in this matter is just a poor attempt at a smoke screen.

No I do not plan on turning our country into a communist state.

No I am not trying to indoctrinate you or your children into communist thinking. Even if I wanted to indoctrinate you, your church has already done one hell of a job in its indoctrination of you. I wouldn't have a chance!

No you do not have to fear me, for a start I don't own a gun and to be honest, I fear you more than you could ever possibly fear me.

No I don't need to fear God in order to live a good, honest, loving and compassionate life. But I worry about your mindset if you think people do need to fear God in order to live a loving and compassionate life.

No I don't believe in the 2nd coming, it is a ridiculous suggestion as there would have to have been a 1st coming for there to be a 2nd coming.

So NO I do not think the Rapture will come in our lifetime. So you will have to forgive me if I plan to try and look after our planet for our future generations. YES I am hoping there will be a viable Earth for our future generations, but the way you and your equivalent among the Muslims and the Zionists are acting, I am starting wonder! I would really appreciate it, if you and your kind would stop trying to force the coming of the Rapture. If your God wants it to be, he will bring it on. We don't need nuclear weapons to bring it on. If you do try and bring it on, I know you will be very disappointed with the outcome! Here is a suggestion if you want it so badly, why you don’t just do what the majority of the Orthodox Jews, the Roman Catholics and some Protestant denominations do, believe in the coming of the Messiah but don't try to advance it. It's important to be ready for the first or second coming (depending if you are Jewish or Christian), but the timetable cannot be manipulated. Pray for it every day, but don't try and force the issue. Surely you must realize that your God can't be hurried, even I know that much!

Yes I am faithful to my husband.

Yes I teach my children right from wrong and a whole lot more including, compassion, empathy, acceptance, respect, co-operation, forgiveness and so on.

Yes I donate money to charities.

Yes I love this country; however I know we need to keep improving it. Also we are a member of the worldwide community and we have a responsibility to make sure other nations can prosper.

Yes I do support every member or former member of the armed services who does his/her job in an ethical manner.

I am sure I have forgotten to dispel some other ridiculous stereotypes which seem to be out there ..........

I probably don't agree with one part of the above quote, "that weakness worships them." I don't believe this is always the case, as I do believe that some people worship a God in the hope to try to do good deeds in this world and not because they feel weak. But in reality people do not need to believe in a God to do good deeds. It would be nice if we could change that false mindset.

As for the rest of the quote, I think in the case of organized religion, it is a very accurate quote.
